"Shut it cry baby, stop crying!" Yelled a 10-year-old Josh at a 7-year-old Lynette."But.. but mummy gave me that.." 7 year-old Lynette sniffed, pointing to the lollipop in her new brother's hand.
"Well too bad. It's mine now." Josh sneered, licking at the lollipop slowly and deliberately.
"Hey, let me have a lick too." 9-year-old Brad nudged at his older brother.
"Yea me too." Peter, who was 8 years old, said, trying to take the lollipop from his brother.
"Alright alright. Here, we'll share." Josh said, smiling evilly at his new stepsister and passing the lollipop between his younger brothers.
"In fact, since we're now your older brothers, everything of yours, now belong to us." bending forward to whisper to Lynette, he quickly snatched her backpack and ripped it open.
"Hmmm, seems like dad's been a little unfair huh." Josh muttered as he took out her new toys their father had bought for her. "You wouldn't want to be selfish now would you Lynette?"
Lynette's eyes started filling with tears when Josh snatched her bag and ripped open, and she was about to burst into a new bout of crying when he asked that question. Swallowing hard, she sniffed and looked at him with wide eyes. "Wha-...whats...Shiao...shiaofish?"
Her new stepbrothers burst into laughter, and Peter shouted "She doesn't even know what selfish means!!! She must be stupid." then he almost fell to the ground laughing.
"There there, stop laughing you guys. She can't help being stupid." Josh sneered, "Selfish means you don't want to share anything and keep everything to yourself. You don't want to be like that, now do you, Lynette?"
Lynette wasn't really sure what was happening or why her stepbrothers were laughing at her. All she knew was, Josh's voice and the way he was looking at her, really scared her, and so she decided to do the safe thing and shake her head.
"Good girl. From now on, all you have to know is whatever you have, belongs to us. Eveything, and I mean everything of yours, is ours. And if you ever decide to tell your mom or our dad, we'll make sure to make your life a living hell. You got that?" Josh whispered, bending even closer to her quivering form, his voice threatening.
Despair fell upon Lynette and there wasn't a day that passed after that, that she didn't wish her mum had decided to stay single, instead of marrying into the Wright family.

So I have had this idea for this story since last week and I think I wrote 4 chapters in 5 hours. It starts out pretty dark but trust me, it gets so much better.
At this point I'm so excited about this story and where it can go, but not to worry, I will continue writing the other two books I have ongoing, I'm just taking a break to write this one so I can focus again on the other two 🙈😂😂
Vote and comment on what you think okay? Thank you my loves ❤️
