Most likely the second one, right? It's all about size.
The quick explanation is that using a smaller size forces Wattpad to stretch it out, with bigger sizes it can can just plop it right in there.
Guess what the first photo's dimensions are?
Wattpad's suggested size, 512 x 800.
Guess what the second photo's dimensions are?
1024 x 1600.
