Choice.

It must seem like such a simple, everyday word to you. You probably read over it without a single pause. I began my story with this trivial word because the six-letter mass does not exist in my world.

Ridiculous?

Welcome to my life.
If you were born with a pouch as a reproductive organ, your wishes didn't matter. Quite frankly, you didn't matter. Unless you were a queen. And even then, you still didn't matter to your husband and his friends. Instead of correcting these social injustices, every family in this mad nation aims to make their daughters the queen.

Even my family.

My name is Arewa, and I live in this mad nation. I was born and raised here in Ekiti. Could it be destiny that I was popped out of my mother's womb a vigilante with my fists tightly bound to fight for liberty? I do not know. But in a world where violence is the norm and women are nothing but possessions used by men for pleasure, I have made it my purpose in life not to conform to this society. I could not help myself then, and I don't think I can do anything to save myself now.

I have no choice.
