I had wanted to have a son; someone I could train to be a warrior, who could eventually take over as king of Erithia when I was no longer able to perform my duties. But when my queen came home a month later and I held my firstborn child in my arms for the first time, a daughter, I felt such a deep connection with her that I never wanted to put her down. She was perfect. I could do nothing but stare into her deep ocean blue eyes. They were so beautiful; they seemed to sparkle, reflecting some kind of invisible light. On that day, I never would have guessed that I was staring into the eyes of the first Erithian warrior princess. The one who would fulfill the prophecy and unite the clans.
