"The world we know is gone. But keeping our humanity? That's a choice."

-Dale Horvath, The Walking Dead

Life was quiet after our fight with mount weather. Things weren't complicated and we weren't fighting a war anymore, nor were we at war with the grounders. We had some grounder enemies but a war hasn't been waged, and I pray that there won't be. Right now I'm enjoying the quietness, and I'm enjoying it with people I love.

I stand with Harper and Monroe at my sides and a few guys behind us as we watch Bellamy and Lincoln spar. Arkadia is teaching the incoming wave of guards how to properly fight and honesty they couldn't have picked better people to teach them. We continue to watch as they both get some pretty good hits in, and I gotta say Bellamy with his shirt off is something I will never get use to, no matter how many times I've seen him shirtless, and I've seen him shirtless many times in the past month. His sweat is glistening off his abs and his biceps bulge every time he goes in for a punch. I bite my lip and try to ignore the pressure that is settling inbetween my hips.

They went at it for a couple more seconds until Lincoln was able to flip him onto his back and that was that.

"He had me, but he was too aggressive." Lincoln explains to the guys standing around watching.

I know what Bellamy can do to take out his aggression...

"Whatever you say." Bellamy says while getting up off the floor and grabbing his shirt to put it back on. Shame.

"Quitting so soon?" Lincoln questions him.

"Mapping run. Sector 7. Taylor, Harper, lets get this over with." Bellamy tells us. Harper throws a bag to Lincoln.

"Council wants you to have that." Bellamy says and Lincoln takes the guard uniform out of the bag, "I'm trikru."

"A uniform doesn't change that. This is our home now, Lincoln. We fought for it. Too many of our friends died for it. On the ark, the uniform meant something different. Down here, it means what we make it mean. Together."

"Ogeda." I tell Lincoln and he turns my way and nods and then turns back to Bellamy, "my sister will understand that eventually."

"Pair up and fight. Now." Lincoln tells the group and I head out the door and wait for Bellamy to come out. Harper comes out first and passes me and then Bellamy. I quickly pull him to me and kiss him, his hands connect around my waist and mine run through his hair as he pushes me against the wall and kisses me harder. My stomach does flips and the pressure between my hips returns. I pull away when I need air and rest my head against his.

"What was that for?"

"Are you complaining?" I tease.

"Not at all, just curious." He tucks a strand of my brown hair behind my ear, I've been wearing it down recently and it feels good, Bellamy also said how much he likes it down too.

I shrug, "I like watching you fight...shirtless."

He lets out a laugh and places another kiss on my lips, "I wish we had time."

I raise my eyebrows and try my best not to smirk, "time for what?"

He glares at me playfully, "you know what."

I shake my head and pretend to think, "actually I don't."

"Fine. We don't have enough time for me to take you against the wall in our bedroom." He whispers in my ear and my breath hitches.
