"Come on Amelia, it's a new school, new opportunities, new friends, new chances" my mom said as we both look into the mirror as she tries to encourage me to be excited to go to this new school.
"I know mom, I'm just nervous. I don't want the same thing to happen again" I said.
"I know honey, it won't happen to you ever again. I promise." My mom said giving me a hug. My mom walked out of my room and I continued to get ready.
Once I was ready I got breakfast and drove to school.
Alright Amelia. You got this, this year is gonna be something different. Nobody here knows you, it's a fresh start. Alright let's go
I grab my bag and start walking towards the entrance of the school. I got my schedule and headed to my first period class, ugh English.
Room 304, okay now I just need to find out where that is. As I was looking for the class the bell rang. Well great way to start the day right? I finally found the classroom and walked in.
"Ms. Amelia, glad you decided to show up" the teacher said. "Sorry, I couldn't find the classroom"I said looking down. "Whatever, go ahead and take a seat next to Mr. Besson"she said pointing to a boy with blonde hair.
I sat down and began to take notes on what the teacher was saying. I noticed that the blonde haired boy kept taking glances at me. I decided to not say anything.
The bell soon rang and everyone left first period. Just 5 more periods to go.
