A CERTAIN DARKNESS fills Jasmine Jones's heart. She can conceal it with a smile or a strike of laughter, and no one will be able to tell how much the girl is truly hurting. No one except her sister, Amelie, who knows Jasmine inside out.
Jasmine can't help the way her mind thinks. Perhaps she's influenced by her best friend, Leah Clearwater, after her devastating heartbreak from Sam Uley. She doesn't know where her bad thoughts stem from, but maybe it's from seeing her sister walk through the front door everyday, scars painted upon her face as a result of her ill-tempered boyfriend.
Maybe it's because she faces danger in her own home, where her mother seeks trouble in every corner and her father is planted six feet deep into the ground. Jasmine doesn't understand how to fix her heart or her mind until Seth Clearwater enters the picture.
