"Jamie?"

"El, is that you?"

"Yeah, it's me."

"Come here."

"You went out tonight." He stated.

"Yeah"

"Good. How was it?"

"If you're asking if I broke down, than yes, I did and it was terrible, but other than that it was okay."

"But you went out. That's great El, its progress."

"I only went out because Harper made me, so I don't know if it's actually progress or if it's just pathetic."

"It's progress. It definitely is. I promise."

"I miss him so much." She whispered.

"I know. Me too"

"I'm scared that I'll forget."

"Forget what?"

"Everything"

"I'm here to remind you though"

"Yeah –"

" – I can still remember everything about him," She whispered.

"Like what?"

"Like the scar above his eyebrow."

"He had a scar there? How did I not know that?"

"You had to look real close to see it. I only noticed because I studied him a lot in the end. He thought it was creepy." She chuckled.

"That's because it probably was."

"Shut up."

"I'll always be here to remind you, you know."

"I know" she sighed, "- but I'm still so scared that I'll forget his voice, or his face, or the way it felt to hold his hand, or kiss him,"

" – It would be like losing him all over again."

"Mhm," Jamie replied.

"Thank you for letting me stay."

"You can always stay with me El, you know that. I'll always be here."

"Thank you."

"Yeah, well I made a promise and I intend to keep it."

"No matter how much I bug you?"

"Yep"

"You're sure about that?"

"Of course. I promised."

"- because I can be a real pest you know."

"I promised. You are not changing my mind."

"You sure about that Jem-Jem."

"Yep."

"Yep, A.K.A, what the hell did I sign up for? Am I right or am I right?"

"You are so annoying."

"Well, you have officially inherited the pest, it comes with the territory I'm afraid."

"Good to know," Jamie chuckled.

...

"El, what the hell are you doing?"

"I just need some water."

"There's a glass on the nightstand."

"Are you kidding me, that's like a teaspoons worth... - I'm pretty sure I'm going to need a barrel or a well or a swimming pool full. My throat feels like sandpaper."
