Chapter 1 (The Smile)
Jeremiah's Pov: I give him one last punch and then I am tackled to the ground by the police. "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to speak to an attorney, and to have an attorney present during any questioning. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you at government expense." The police officer says to me just before he puts the handcuffs on me. Then he pats me down
"I don't have anything on me" I tell him. totally ignoring me he picks me up forcefully and pushes me to walk forward. How could I do this I ask myself. I thought I had some self control. I duck as he pushes me into the cop car.
Then I put my head down ashamed of myself. The siren goes off once and the car starts moving and I look up to see if I see my girl or even my best friend I see her, she so beautiful I'm sorry I mouth to her as her eyes full with tears I few moments pass and then she's no longer in my sight.
Satinka's Pov:
It was about a few months before all this wet down.
The alarm clock blared in my ear.
"Ugh!"
I said as I sat up in my bed then turned off my alarm and flopped back down on my bed. 10 minutes later it felt like two, my mom called me
"Satinka!"
My mom yelled
"Time for school!"
I closed my eyes for a moment then opened them again, I got up and looked in the mirror at myself I had brow curly hair thick hips tan skin, light brown eyes, and I was 5'5. I took a shower and got dressed in my best outfit, today was my first day at my new school and I was not feeling it. I ran down the steps and out the door "have a nice day", my mom yelled after me. I walked at a slow pace trying not to get in my new school to soon so I would not be standing there like a loner or something Like That. I made it a few seconds before the bell rang. I pulled out my schedule as soon as a got it the school I found my homeroom in no time at all. I walked to the class room slowly, the sign on the door read "Ms.Hennings" I walked though the classroom door only to find two other people in the classroom. I walked to the back of the class and sat in the last seat. I watched the classroom full up in a matter of minutes making the room very loud. Just when the teacher was about to take attendance this cute boy walked in my eyes stared at him up and down he had a cute buzz cut, tan skin a little darker then mine, he was very muscular and tall. However, he had a mean look, as if he had the pain of a century on his shoulders. Everyone's eyes followed him as he walked to his seat; He sat down across the room from me in the last seat.
"We have a new student class."
Ms. Hennings said I turn to face the front of the classroom were the teacher was
"Come here!"
She said I got up and went to her
"Yes" I said when I got there.
"What's your name?" she asked me
"Satinka."
I told her then she turned to the class
"Class this is Satinka she is our new student would someone like to show her around?"
The whole class raised their hands and then the cute boy that sat In the back of the classroom stood up and walked to the front
"I would!"
He yelled as he walked to us
"Ms. I will."
He now said and did not yell. "
Are you sure you can handle that?"
She asked
"Fo show."
He said with a smile on his face. Then he turned to me,
"My name is Jeremiah,"
He said with the same smile on his face.
"Hi"
I said shyly with a smile I could not seem to wipe away.
"Go sit down."
Ms. Hennings said we both turned and walked back to our seats. What did Ms. Hennings mean when she said if he could handle it? I thought in my head for about 5 minutes then someone tapped me. It was the girl seating next to me she pointed her finger and I followed I found Jeremiah smiling at me. Jeremiah motioned with his index finger for me to come to him. I got out of my seat as I walked a kept my head down, I could picture him watching my body flow across the room and my long brown curly hair following it but I didn't look up to see if he was not until I got to the seat next to him. When I got into the seat, I looked up at him and he reached over, grabbed my desk, and pulled it over to his it made a loud screeching noise against the floor. Everyone looked back surprised to see Jeremiah and me sitting together. As soon as everyone turned back around which toke them a good minute. He then turned to me
"What's a beautiful lady like yourself doing in school?" he asked
"Umm... I don't know learning." I answered sarcastically we both laughed. Just then the bell rang we slowly walked out together.
"What are you doing after school?" he asked me
"Nothing Important." I said
"I want to talk to you some more after school is that ok with you?" he asked with you yes I wanted to yell but just said
"Yes."
"Alright Satinka I'll meet you outside after school." he confirmed I smiled and nodded then he backed up and walked down the hall backwards staring at me. I stared back with a smile on my face until someone blocked him from my view and he disappeared. I walked to my next class it was Spanish, I walked in and sat down at the last seat last row.
"Did I tell you to sit there?" I turned around to who I am guessing was the Spanish teacher. I looked at her like her was crazy then I picked up my things and walked out the class I was going to put up with her not today. I walked outside and sat on the bench just outside the school, I opened my bag and pulled out my book it was called Dawn, after a little while I found myself lost in the book. Then someone ran up to me and tickled my sides I jumped and looked up it was Jeremiah.
"Why are you out here?" he asked me
"Because I want to," I said
"Ok then I guess I want to be out here with you." he sat down and I went back to reading my book. As I was reading my book, I noticed Jeremiah staring at me I looked up expecting him to look away but he did not.
"What are you looking at?" I asked him then pushed his face softly to break the stare. He smiled
"You." he whispered
"Why?" I asked him
"Because" the bell cut him off
"Saved by the bell." I said to him and then smiled.
