During practices for the Elocution, I realized many things… First, I encountered worries because It's a bit hard to memorize our piece. many of us used to speak and understand English than Filipino. There were words that are hard to pronounce, but when we started to recite our piece, I realized that it is not so difficult after all. We just kept on practicing the correct pronounciation and on how to deliver it with feelings and correct facial expressions. We practiced until we mastered our piece. It was really tiring, sometimes we don’t have enough time to take a break. Our class were so noisy. Many of our classmates doesn’t pay attention to the teacher. Sometimes it irritates me and wanted to walked out. But I have to be patient because the more I get irritated,

the more I lost interest. But behind all that, we did our very best during the Elocution. Clothes, make ups, we get ready for the presentation. We were so nervous. The MC announced “Second to perform, 8-Fortitude!”, our section was called. We all went to our places. We delivered our piece with so much confidence and poise. We did the best that we could. After we and all the grade levels had been presented, “It’s time to call out the winners!”, the MC announced. We were so nervous, and at the same time confident because we know we did our best and we worked hard for it, so we're expecting to get a place. We waited for our section to be called, unfortunately, We didn't made it as what we expected. I realized it's not about winning, but to learn something that can help us to be more responsible, independent and competitive.
