chapter 18~not over you

Marcus pov//

I woke up this morning and let me tell you it was a rough night with Martinus.

He is really really upset.

~flashback to last night~

I saw Emilie run out of the hallway and into Emma and Marie's room.

She was crying her eyes out. What just happened?

I went to into the room to find Martinus sitting on the bathroom floor crying also.

I went and sat down next to him.

Martinus-"I lost her."

Marcus-"How?"

Martinus-"Because I told her I felt the same way. Then when I did that she kissed me and we had a moment and I pulled away. I told her we couldn't be  more than friends. I regretted it right after because I know I didn't meant it. Now she hates me and I don't think we will ever be friends. You should have heard the things she said to me, it was the nicest thing I have ever heard. She made me feel special and she really does love me and I blew it."

Marcus-"I'm so sorry Martinus, but she really does care about you. Everything she said was out of hurtness and I'm sure tomorrow she we will be back. She loves you so much and could never be apart from you."

Martinus-"All she has ever done was care for me and the past week I've done some terrible things but I have also done some okay things. I'm just so confused with these feelings right now. I gave up Jennie because things didn't feel right and I realized it was because I felt something for someone else. I just couldn't see it."

~end of flashback~

I could see Martinus was awake and let me tell you he wasn't good looking.

I'm really hoping Emilie and him can work this out because I know how much they care for each other.

We both got ready for breakfast. We went downstairs and met Mom and Dad. Except the table was emptier than usual. Where was Emilie and Marie?

Marcus-"Mom, Dad. Where did Emilie and Marie go?"

Mom-"Well her mom was able to get a flight after all so she took them home. I'm not sure what happened but Emilie was having a very bad panic attack last night, I think she really needed to go home."

My face dropped. I looked at Martinus and so did his.

She just packed up and left! How could she have done that and we wouldn't have known? In a matter of hours she left.

Martinus-"I need to be alone right now."

Martinus got up and left the table.

Everyone looked at me confused.

Before I could go after him I had to do something.

Marcus🍍; Emilie why did you leave? Please you have no idea, Martinus is a wreck and he didn't mean what he said. He has been crying his eyes out all night.

Em😝; I have been crying my eyes out all week. Do you know how it feels to have your heart ripped out? Because that's how I feel right now. He told me that he felt the same way and then I made my move and he rejected me all over again. I can't face myself to see him again and I'm sorry if he's upset I really am but I can't be in this situation. I'm sorry Marcus.
