Ex-Fifth Harmony member @Camila_Cabello reportedly in hospital after overdose at home in Miami, FL

JustJared.com @JustJared
@Camila_Cabello hospitalized after suicide attempt earlier this morning. Are former bandmates @LaurenJauregui @AllyBrooke @NormaniKordei @dinahjane97 to blame?

Numb, that was the feeling Lauren would use to describe how she was feeling in that moment, that is if she could speak. Sitting on the cold floor of the studio, notebook in her lap, Fifth Harmony's newest It Girl, Lauren Jauregui, stared down at her phone, the twitter app open and each new tweet about her former best friend and bandmate cutting through her like a knife being repeatedly stabbed into her heart.

"Lauren?" Normani shouted, chucking her pencil across the studio at the girl. "Get the hell off your phone, we're trying to write a damn song here," she said with slight malice, shaking her head and feeling annoyed that Lauren didn't seem to care that they were on a deadline for their next album.

Looking up from her phone, Lauren watched the pencil that had been thrown in her direction roll across the floor and she immediately stood up and walked over to the small TV that hung on the wall and turned it on, grabbing the remote and flipping to the first entertainment news station she could find.

"What the hell you doing, Lauser? Now ain't the time to watch TV!" Dinah Jane, the youngest member of the group called out before she rolled her eyes and let out a low growl. "We have a deadline, Lauren," she reminded the other girl, but Lauren just stood in the center of the room, her eyes glued to the TV, ignoring the protests and groans coming from the other three members of the band.

"Camila," Lauren whispered, tears in her eyes as Maria Menounos' face appeared on the screen with a solemn expression.

Normani scoffed loudly from her spot on the black couch, "We don't speak-"

"New video footage of singer Camila Cabello being rushed from her Miami home on stretcher after an overdose early this morning has surfaced online," the woman's voice rang out through the studio, causing Normani, Dinah, and Ally to all freeze in their spots, heads turning to look at the same TV that Lauren had yet to even blink away from. "The former Fifth Harmony member has spent the last few days teasing fans online with snippets of songs from her debut album that is expected to drop sometime within the next couple months, leaving many to question what made this young singer attempt to take her own life. There is currently no word on her condition, though her Manager confirmed the rumors earlier this morning, saying that the family is requesting privacy at this time and thanking everyone four the out pour of support from the online community. Celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Zayn Malik, Demi Lovato, Simon Cowell, and LA Reid have all sent out tweets of well wishes and love and fans have been trending the hashtags Camila We Love You and Camila Strong all morning, but many are wondering why there has been no word from any of her former bandmates, is the rift between the five girls so deep that they simply just don't care? And the question plaguing everyone's mind, is this going to be Camila Cabello's fall from grace? More on this story later on in the show."

Lauren clicked off the TV, letting the remote drop to the floor. Four girls. Four girls with tears in their eyes and extremely heavy hearts. Four girls with the image of Camila's small body being rushed out of her home towards an ambulance with a man pumping wildly on her chest, etched into their minds. Four girls who looked around the room, all eyes falling on a black chair that Camila had claimed to be her own when four girls was five girls recording an album now known as 7/27. Three girls afraid to say a word.

"She tried," Dinah whispered, tears streaming down her face. "She tried to reach out to us, she never stopped trying to reach out to us. Is this our fault?" There was something heavy in Dinah's question, something broken and full of guilt as she looked around at the other girls. Normani's chest heaving up and down, tears and black mascara in streaks on dark skin. Ally's eyes closed and mouth moving as she said a silent prayer, the sound of her teardrops hitting the floor, the only sound in the room if you listened close enough. "Laur?" Dinah whispered from her spot as she furiously wiped at her own eyes, smudging the makeup and eyeliner she had applied flawlessly that morning at approximately the same time that Sinu Cabello was walking into her eldest daughter's childhood room, only to find her limp, lifeless body crumpled on the floor with photos surrounding her.

Lauren said nothing, did nothing. She just stared at Camila's chair, a chair so blurred by her tears that it didn't even resemble a chair anymore. She could hear Camila laughing. She could see Camila dancing. She could smell Camila's shampoo. Lauren swallowed hard, pushing down a lump threatening to escape in the form of a guttural sob from deep in the pit of her stomach.

"Lauren, you're bleeding," Ally whispered, even though she knew Lauren was not listening to a single word she was crying out almost inaudibly.

Lauren's hands were curled into tight fists, her nails digging hard into her skin, crescent moon shaped cuts drawing blood, seeping through her fingers. Lauren still didn't budge, instead she pressed her nails further into her skin as the tears fell harder and images of Camila flickered behind her now closed eyes. Camren was never real. A lie Lauren spat out to the public, a lie that Lauren was now worried had been the last straw for Camila, the nail in her proverbial coffin. Dinah was right, Camila had tried. She continued to try with Dinah, Ally, and Normani, but not Lauren. Not after Lauren's lie. The last text Lauren had received from Camila read, quite simply, I guess I should have known it wasn't real, Unicorns and Dragons are only a fantasy after all, but unlike the other daily texts she had received from Camila every day before that final message, it wasn't signed I will always love you. Camila had tried. One text, every day to each girl. A message asking for forgiveness, a text telling them they looked good in whatever interview they had just done, a text telling them she went to the store closest to her and bought out the entirety of all the magazines they graced the pages of, a text telling them how great they sounded on whatever stage they had just performed on, a text to Lauren telling her she had Back to Me on repeat because she missed Lauren's voice, a text to Normani every Monday night telling her she was voting for her until her fingers bled. Camila tried, but four girls refused to give her the chance and Lauren was left with Dinah's question haunting her, pulsing through her veins like a sledgehammer. Was this their fault?
