Opposites Attract

"That bastard dog!" The orange haired Meif'wa spat out in anger. How dare that werewolf ruin his date with Aphmau, he was trying so hard not to hurt her feelings. Why was HE so interested in ruining their date anyway? What if he'd fallen for the ebony haired girl? Kai clicked his tounge in a mix of annoyance and jealously and shook his head, heading into the school building for his morning class.

Ein brushed his hair off his forehead and analyzed his face, he had so may scars, would he really find someone who would love him how he is now? Is he too scary? Why did that damned ice skating date have to happen? It ruined his chances with the one he loved. He glanced over at his phone that had a text from Aphmau.

'Hey! Are you at school yet? I cant find you. Class is about to start!'

Shit, he was late. He hurried to grab his school bag and rush out the door, slamming it behind him and running to school.

Aphmau was in the girls change room, changing into her gym uniform and tucking her phone into her locker to keep it safe. Ein didn't reply but she saw he'd read the message. Assuming he was rushing to school she didnt bother to wait for a response. "Aphmau-chan Aphmau-chan!" A familar voice called out from the door of the change rooms. Aphmau spun around and saw her pink haired friend running over. Her ears perked up and her tail swaying happily. "Did you hear the news? We're joining classes today!" Aphmau didn't hear the news so it came as a surprise. "That's awesome Kawaii~Chan! Do you know what we'll be doing?" Aphmau asked as she shut her locker. The girls started to walk out towards the gymnasium. "Kai-kun said we were playing dodgeball!" Kai-kun? Kai was in her class? Aphmau suddenly felt sick. Maybe she could go to the nurses office and miss this class? No, she couldn't, it'd be unfair on Ein who she'd made rush to school. She took a deep breath and smiled at her friend "Sounds fun, I hope we're on the same team!" Kawaii~Chan nodded in agreement as they walked to join the rest of the joint class. Staying as far from Kai as possible.

"I'm here! I'm here!" Ein puffed as he burst through the front doors of the school building. He ran towards the change rooms, pulling his tie down and untying it along the way. Letting it flow behind him while he ran with it in his hands. He hurried to change into his gym uniform and shoved everything into his locker. He tucked a strand of hair behind his ear as he walked quickly into the gymnasium, giving a small wave to Aphmau as he made his way over to her. Sigh, that saber Kai was here too. This would make for an interesting class. He could only hope they'd be on opposite teams.

They weren't. The teams were unoriginally boys verses girls, which was slightly unfair, the werewolf girls weren't about to go down without a fight, and with Aphmau on their team they were fired up.

"Alright!" The gym teacher blew his whistle to get everyones attention. "No throwing the ball at someone's head. Shoulders and below! They catch your throw, you're out. They catch the ball with one hand after it bounces, neither of you will be out for that. When your team mate catches a ball, a player who had been out is allowed back in. This will continue until a whole team is eliminated. If you have ball you can deflect an oncoming ball with it, as long as it doesnt touch your skin. Oh, and NO werewolf strength or speed, there's humans playing too!"

Each team lined up on the opposite walls of the gym. The gym teacher placed the balls in a line along the centre of the court. Once he'd retreated to the side he blew his whistle. The game had begun.

"I can't believe I have to be teamed with you" Kai muttered under his breath. "Stay out of my way you damn cat" Ein spat back. There was no way either one of those two were about to get hit out any time soon.

Kawaii~Chan and Aphmau have been known to not exactly be the toughest girls around. If only Katelyn were here with them, they'd win for sure! Kawaii~Chan ran and pounced on a ball that'd been rolling along the ground. She held it out to Aphmau. "Did you want to throw it?"
