A/N: This is about the new 'Wonder' movie coming up because I watched the trailer and I can't even deal with how excited I am so I literally commented this on a YouTube video.
SPOILERS!!!!!! I literally own this book because I love it so much I cannot express to you how much I love Auggie Pullman. I relate so much to him it's not even funny. He almost reminds me of Ponyboy from 'The Outsiders'. Both of them struggled to fit in when they were so obviously different. August was changed forever by his standing ovation. That reminds me of how Ponyboy strived to live in the "golden moments". The ceremony was August's golden moment. Both of them also have to rise against being singled out and torn down about things they can't help (Pony with his greaser lifestyle and Auggie with his deformities). Both end up learning to be themselves and that those who matter don't care and those who care don't matter.
