Lightning flashed across the dark sky while the thunder rumbled in the distance. Another lightning flashed illuminating the shadowy figure on the tallest building. I gazed across the city of Ereville, my home. My sweet sugar home. The citizens of Ereville are going around, too busy to notice the outline of a person standing on the tallest building.

That's me.

Red the nightmare, the thief, and the murderer.

For years, my stupid old self have trained and hoped for the people's acceptance of my kind. I took the hardest climb of my life. But it all went to waste when I lost my grip in life.

Eager to show them I'm strong and capable, I went to face the enemy on my own. I carried all the knowledge and strength I have. But I didn't fight them. It was the the contradictory. I smiled as I remember how I joined the Specials Assassin Organization. I remember Mystery sitting on his throne-like seat, talking and persuading me. I closed my eyes as I tried to grasp more of it. The sound of sirens slowly filled the air. The cold wind touched my skin. My heart feels so peaceful at this moment. But it was only for a moment.

"Freeze!"

My eyes opened and I turned around to face Lucas, the famous Special Individual Restrainer. His crew followed in suit. All of their restrainers pointed at me. I looked at them with my cold red eyes like I can see their every move. Some lost their grip on the restrainers they were holding. A few especially Lucas stayed firm although fear is visible on their eyes. At last, I held up my hand in the air -the sign of defeat- but that wasn't the message I wanted to get through.

They haven't won. Most of them sighed in relief while I slowly stretched my hands to my side. Breathe in. Breathe out. Of course Lucas got alarmed. He knew I wouldn't surrender that easily and he probably found it suspicious that I decided to give up. And his suspicions are correct. I backed away slowly and I was a few inches away from the side.

"Get her!" He suddenly shouted surprising his collegues.

From the top of the tallest building, I fell down. I don't mind it if I fell and then Death came to greet me. The only problem is that there is something tugging at my heart and my mind to stay alive. I have to stay alive for them. Death won't fix my problem.

Lightning flashed across the dark sky while the thunder rumbled in the distance. Another lightning flashed illuminating a shadowy figure falling from the tallest building. I smiled bitterly as I fell to the city of Ereville, my home. My sour and bitter home. The citizens of Ereville are going around, too busy to notice the outline of a person falling from the tallest building.

That's me.
