  prologue

There was tension in the room. So much..that Akeezy felt like she was choking on it. The sweat beads were forming on her forehead left and right. Slouching down in metal chairs at a metal table in a metal interrogation room wasn't how she envisioned her Friday night.

She could feel her pajama pants becoming sweaty as her internal inferno blazed. Taking a dare she looked up at the detective across the table from her.

Startled, she looked down again when she realized he was staring her in the eye.

"You seem nervous.",Detective Patrick stated.

Her breathing once again became sporadic as he watched her intently. Analyzing her. But he couldn't quite figure her out. He knew he'd been on vacation for a while but not long enough to lose his touch.

"I am.",she replied boldly.

Detective Patrick leaned back in his seat and took off his jacket, before folding his arms and slinking down.

Akeezy looked up at him, feeling more at ease.

"Why don't we start from the beginning. When you first created your profile."

Akeezy took a deep breath before sitting up straight. Straightening her spine once again.

She looked at her chewed nails as she spoke.
"It all started when school opened up again..."

:akeezy:

I walked down the halls and felt the stares. The summer had brought in more changes than anyone had expected. Especially in me.

I'd grown a boob or two and grew into my features. I was wider and slimmer and...womanly. Something I thought I'd never be able to say about myself.

It was apparent that twelfth grade was my year to shine.

And then I heard it. Screams and screeches from none other than Alicia. The excitement built as I turned to meet her face.

"Bestfriend!",she yelled as she wrapped her arms around me. I squeezed her tight as ever.

We released each other as we walked to the cafeteria. Our annual meet up spot every first day of school.

"Oh my gosh. We have got to talk. I haven't seen you since last year.",she said as she rolled her eyes.
I chuckled the innuendo off.

"I know. But we're here now so no biggy."

We walked into the cafeteria as she watched her phone intently. Almost running into a few people.

"Alicia what's so interesting on your damn phone?",I asked as we sat at a cafeteria table.
She laughed me off for a second before we sat down. I was more interested in whoever was keeping her attention.

She rambled through her book bag while she explained. "The app.",is all she said.

She fished out a bottle of water before looking me dead in the eye. "Want one?",she asked.

I declined and she proceeded to drink her water. Like a lady. Like the princess she was.

"What app?"

She rolled her eyes before twisting the cap back onto the water bottle. Placing it on the table.

"I forget the name but you make an account and people comment something about you. It might be a question or something they've always wanted to tell you.",she said with a shrug.

"Sounds dangerous."

She laughed off my overly cautious perception of whatever the app was called. She waved a hand at me light heartedly.

"Look at how many people have said nice things about me. I love it." She shoved her phone in my face.

I couldn't help but see the amount of people stating things they said they loved about her. I couldn't help but think how that'd never be me.

"You should make one. It'll be fun."

I thought about it... Maybe I should?
