*beep*beep*beep
I heard in my sleep as I turned over to stop the alarm looking at the time.
Oh shit! I said to my self, I gotta get ready for work, I got up and went to shower and did my hygiene stuff. I got dressed in a navy blue pants a white top and gold sandals and my purse.
Hi y'all my name is Amanda Smith, I'm eighteen years old I live by my self in an apartment, yea I know I know I should be in college but I can't afford it right now.
I got my things and I left, making sure I had my key, I went down and waited till I got a taxi.
*1 hour and 25 minutes later*
7:25am
I paid the driver and went inside to Denny's, its a popular restaurant and diner where even celebrities come. I work there as an waitress. I went in the back and quickly took my things to change off in my work uniform.
I took up my pen and note book and went to the diner.
I saw a couple of guys walked in and sat at one table so I went over,
"Hello Good morning, I'm Amanda and I'll be your waitress, what can I get you guys"
They took up their menu and was looking through it while I waited
"Can I get.. Uum some pancakes, scramble egg and bacon and orange juice" the light brown one said
"Sure" I said writing it down
"Can I get what he's having it" the one in the middle said
"Sure" I said writing it down
"And can I get a burger" the dark one said
"Yes, I'll be back with these" I said with a smile and walking off telling the cook.
About five minutes later the cook was finished with the meals and I placed them all on the tray and walked back over.
"Here you go" I said putting down there meals,
"Thanks" the light one said
"Anything else" I asked
"No but we hallo at you if we do" the dark one said, I slightly nodded my head and walked off to serve other customers.
I walked over to see a woman well more like a girl, sitting by her self, she seem to be around my age or a little over.
"Hello goodmorning I'm Amanda, what can I get you" I asked
And she slightly looked up
"Just coffee please" she said
She looked as if she was crying, her face was swollen.
"OK, I'll be back" I said walking off, I made her coffee and brought it to her.
"Are you OK" I asked politely
"Yea am fine" she said
"No your not, were you crying" I asked sitting in the seat across from her which I shouldn't be doing.
"Yea I was" she said wiping her face
"May I ask why" I said holding on to her hands trying to comfort her.
"My dad left when I was a baby, and lately my mom been on drugs and her so called boyfriend tried to rape me so I ran away" she said breaking down again.
"Oh my, so do you have any where to go" I asked
"No, the last couple a days I been sleeping in the parks and all that" she said sniffing.
I felt so bad for her at least she got a mom, my parents don't even care about me.
"You can stay with me, if you want" I said
"No I couldn't" she said shaking her head.
"Yes you can I insist" I said
"Thanks I'm Assenia by the way" she said with a smile
"I'm Amanda" I said and we shoke hands.
"Well I gotta get back to work, my shift ends at 4, so after that we'll go to my apartment" I said standing up
"OK" she said nodding and wiping her face.
"Well you should eat something" I said
"Yea" she said
"So what can I get you" I said
"Scram eggs and pancakes please" she said,
"Coming right up" I said and we both chuckled.
And I walked off to get the meal.
*Five minutes later*
I brought the meal to Assenia and continue to serve the customers.
Then the guys called me over,
"Yes" I said and seen they were finished.
"Well we're finished, can we get the bill" the one in the middle said
"Yes sure, I'll be right back" I said taking up the plates and cups and went to get the bill.
I went back over to them
"Your bill is $55.45" I said
And the middle one pulled out a $100 dollar bill.
"Here" he said
"Let me go get your change" I said about to walk off
"No keep it" he said, and I turned in my heels
"Ok" I said with a smile and they got up and left, while I went to the cashier and she took the bill and I took the change.
I was now serving some other people
"Here's your milkshake" I said placing it on the table and the lady looked up on me
"Thanks" she said, I slightly nod and walk off.
"Hey wait" one off the other girls said and I turned on my heels.
"Yes" I said
"You guys serve Margaritas" she said
"Yes we do" I said politely
"Can I get a strawberry margarita" she said
"Yes, I'll be back" I said
I went to the bar area and told the bartender and he quickly start making it.
3:55pm
I walked over to Assenia,
"Hey amma change and come back OK" I said
"Yea alright" she said and I walked to the changing room and got changed quickly.
I took up my things and went back out,
"Hey come on" I said walking over to her and she got up and we both left,
We went outside and waited on a taxi.
We arrived home, "at last" I said dropping down on the couch
And Assenia chuckled while still looking around
"Like it" I said
"Yea, its better than where I was" she said with a face expression like 'Thank you Lord kind a thing'
My apartment wasn't all that, but it was home for me.
"Well let's get you settle in" I said
"Have any clothes" I added
"No" she said holding her head down
"It's OK, I got some new clothes I haven't wore as yet, they ain't no Gucci or MK tho" I said
And laughed "well long as it's better than these" she said referring to what she was wearing.
I don't look down on people every body is at the same level, some are rich and some don't have it.
"Well let me get them, so you can shower up, eat and sleep" I said
"Thanks" she said
"And you can sit you know" I said walking off to my room and I could hear her chuckle.
I went in my room,and went through my dresser draws and I found six suits I haven't were yet along with sandals and bed slippers.
I took them up and put them in a basket and went back to the living room
"Here you go" I said handing her the basket
"Let me show you the room" I said and she slightly nod and she followed me to the room
"Wow" she said
"Girl please you acting like its a celebrity room or something" I said and she laughed
"I like it tho, thank you so much" she said
"It's OK" I said with a smile
"Well you should shower up i'ma make dinner" I said walking out.

I made dinner and we sat at the island in the kitchen, eating and talking.
Nia seem like a cool person, after we ate she insist on washing the dishes, and after that we said our good night's and went to sleep.
