Bets....bets are dangerous, to say the least. In a bet there is never a winner, there is only a fool, and a thief.

Percy Jackson is Goode High School's playboy. He saunters down the halls like he owns them. He's never ever seen without his hair styled to perfection, his clothes pressed and pristine, hell, even his shoes fucking shine. Girls (and even a few boys) fall at his feet, because who can resist?

Nico di Angelo, that's who. He's been in the same schools as Percy since kindergarten and God, did he hate the kid. Yeah, Nico probably envied him slightly too, due to the fact that Percy was loved by many and Nico by none except his best friend Leo- but that was besides the point. Somebody needed to teach Jackson a lesson and knock him down a few pegs.

So, that's where our story starts. Fasten your seatbelts. It's about to get angsty.

heey guys, it's ella here, or should i say percysconstellation ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

i'm so excited 4 this story!!!! wow!!!!! i have so many ideas!!!!

i have to confess the idea of the bet and people then finding out itself came from a fanfic called 'bet on me' (klance) on ao3 but i promise this fic is nothing like that one, this one isn't going to be as triggering (that fic includes graphic anxiety attacks, suicide attempts etc) as that one even if it is an amazing fic

so yeah!!! expect lots of angst, pining percy, in denial nico, etc ;)

ALSO.

i know this isn't a very widely used au but i also wanted to include latino!percy who is also an immigrant, because i just felt like immigration at the moment (looking at you, donald trump) is so frowned upon and hated when it shouldn't be, so i wanted to include it in this story just to remind people not to listen to the big orange blob, immigrants are people too :) i'll explain more of the details of how and why he immigrated in the story, but basically he was born in havana, cuba and then he moved to queens, nyc with sally when he was 2 years old <3
