Unlike most, you made me feel
You were always there to hold me
and tell me everything would be okay.
You were my own living journal.
I'd pour my emotions into you
as if I were a pen running out of ink.

Unlike most, I let you in.
I thought I could learn to love again.
Not as lovers, but as friends.

Even though we are as different as night and day,

When you're around,

my smile can't seem to fade away.

Unlike most, I know you can hurt me.
My heart always prevents other from getting close,

You seemed to slip through.

Like a thief in the night,

you stole my heart and don't even know.
You have the power to leave me.

And I know it's only a matter of time,

but you constantly tell me,

you will never leave

You have broken the walls

that once surrounded my icy heart.

The feelings I get when I am around you,

are unlike anything I've every felt.

I'm on cloud nine, but grounded at the same time.

My heart beats faster and slower at the same time.

I'm high, but sober and the same time.

Unlike most, you make me feel.

I am afraid to lose you.

You make my world lighter.

The sun and moon shine brighter.
The stars shimmer boldly

Like most, I am afraid to love you.
I know that you can leave me.

I know that you can hurt me.

Unlike most, you try to save me.

You care for me.

Even though I am terrified,

I can't help but love you back.
You give me hope.
