[Verse 1: J-Hope]

Yeah, who says my spoon is dirty?

I don't care, when I grab the mic, I have several gold spoons

"The Spoon Theory" is a viral/cultural concept in South Korea. It differentiates the wealth and social status of Koreans into four types of spoon material: gold (금), silver (은), bronze (동) and soil/dirt (흙). This concept is similar to the English idiom "Born with a silver spoon in the mouth."

BTS were known as "dirt spoon" artists. Their music label, Big Hit Entertainment, was a small company in debt when the group debuted. As of 2016, the majority of the label's ₩35.5 billion sales income can be accredited to BTS' huge success. Now, the group is eating with "gold spoons" instead of "dirt spoons."

Several uncooked steaks over there make me mad

Once again, I'll chew you all up, on the night of the stars

J-Hope continues to use the eating analogy here. Though "스테끼" is translated as "steak," it is also a reference to the Japanese word "素敵" which translates to "great" or "cool."

"스테끼" could also refer to a card game trick which could lead the players to victory.

Although his unpolished opponents might look cool and play dirty, J-Hope will prevail over his opponents to relentlessly "chew them up" and win.

Center of World Business

1st on the recruitment list, sold out

This class is not common, enjoy this value

Bad odors with good scents are against the rules

Mic mic bungee

[Verse 2: Suga]

Mic mic bungee

Bright lights, going forward

You thought I was gonna fail but I'm fine, sorry

Sorry, "Billboard"

Sorry, "worldwide"

Suga apologies for BTS impending failures that many of their critics and haters predicted. However, the result of that prediction was quite contradiction as BTS is now a Billboard winning artist and a global K-Pop icon.

Sorry mom, your son's too hot

I'm being a good son in place of you

No cons in our concerts

Alternative translation:

There aren't any grapes at our concert

Though the literal meaning of "포도" is grape, it also refers to concert tickets. Suga brags that BTS concert tickets are always sold out.

I do it, I do it, you're a bad ratatouille

If you're jealous, sue me

Sue it

Alternative translation:

I do it I do it, you're a tasteless ratatouille

If you're getting indigestion, that's tasty

Sue it
