Structure of the world

3 1 0

Roses, raindrops
And melancholy thoughts
Fill my mind and heart
Thoughts of love and heart
But also flowers and teacups
Treetops and skylines
Following trails and making your own
Bright city lights and tall buildings
With trees on the inside
Holding it all tight
With thoughts and emotions
Colliding
battles begin and wars are won
But not without cost
and not without haste
Broken hearts and teacups
Tears full of emotions
that none can understand
Poems and paintings
That make no sense
Either fiction or abstract
Building blocks of culture
Of life and love and heart
Stairs and bookcases
Covered in stories
Being told or already told and old
Written letters but unsent all the same
Disappointment and anxiety
Happenings and coincidences
Music and sadness
Calming down and getting high
All one in the same
But alternatives and choices made
Wishes kept in jars
or wished upon stars
Wonderful weddings
and joyful jests
Hidden treasures
And wondering minds
Colorful rocks
and never ending stories
Wonderful happenings
and fantastic feeling
Beautiful sunsets
And peaceful days
All thoughts wanted
but almost never reached
More tired faces and broken souls
And people going insane
Broken windows and lost souls
Broken promises causing misery
Padded walls and locked doors
The structure is falling apart
the wise and needed
Are being called insane
And never taken seriously
They spend their lives thinking
they are wrong when really
they are the only ones right
We all need to be open
Not closed of behind
locked doors and boarded up windows
The structure is falling apart and we are the cause
Change is the answer
Be careful what you say
You may put someone on the edge
No more
broken windows and infrastructure
But
Walls covered in art and faces full of joy
