Hi y'all hope you enjoy this awkwardly written "fanfic" or whatever it's called, yes about Jonathan Toews, who else? My name is Emily (in this story), I'm 23 (not in real life) and earning my bachelors degree in technical-engineering. I know the Kane's very well and have been to many games, parties etc. I love the city of Chicago, and of course the Blackhawks, not only the Hawks, but I'm a hockey fanatic, I played hockey in college for UMD and now in a Minor League for women.
Let's start here...
I wake up its 5:55 AM. I grab my glasses and roll out of bed, brush my teeth put on my "work clothes" and head to the technical institute in Madison, WI. I get a call from Jacqueline before class and she invites me to the "after party" for the Blackhawks if they win tonight, of course I'm psyched but it's not my first rodeo. You see I've know the Kane's since I was about 9 years old, we used to live close by so I know them all very well, even Patrick!
1:29 PM, after a long day of work/class I go home, eat and get ready for the Hawks game which I already have tickets for. It takes me approximately 5-6 hours with traffic to get there so I'm in a rush. I grab my purse, keys, water and put on my Toews jersey, I'm out the door.
The atmosphere at the UC is amazing and the game was so much fun, AND... THEY WON! Thank god, i didn't come all this way to see them lose. I was pumped to get to see all the boys again, new and old faces, ones I'd never met, ones I was "in love with." And the Kane's of course!
It's 11:41 PM when I step out of the taxi and into the bar. My favorite downtown bar in Chicago, Park Tavern to meet up with Jacqueline, Erica and Jessica.
"There you are!" She hugs me and I hug her tighter.
"Man have I missed y'all." I say as I hug Erica and Jess too.
"So, any offerings down here in Chitown?" Jac asks.
"Not yet, but if I don't here anything soon I might apply elsewhere in Chicago."
"That's understandable." Jac says hesitantly. "Well we're all hoping its close by so we can see you more often!" Jess chimes in.
"Ugh yes, I've really missed y'all, I wish I could find a job and apartment closer than 5 hours away!" Haha
"Yeah but something good will happen soon, I promise." Erica adds.
"I sure hope so." I say relieved.
"Let's go inside shall we?!" Jac exclaims.
"Sounds good to me." We all agree.
We enter with the bar to the left, and the boys drinking and mingling from group to group.
Patrick approaches.
He peers around from behind me. "Is that-"
"HEY PAT!" I shout.
He hugs me immediately and smiles.
"Jeez thanks for telling me you were coming into town! I would've made sure to stay home."
Pat says sarcastically.
"Still the same Patrick I see!" I say pretending to be hurt.
We both laugh and he says he wants me to meet the guys.
"This is Bolly, Steeger, Smitty, Duncs and Seabs."
"Hi," I greet them casually.
"Nice to meet you!" a few say shaking my hand.
I smile and we continue throughout the bar.
"Is there anyone left?" I ask astonished at how many people I just met.
