Well, if I managed to write 50,000 words in November, surely I can do the same in April? (Or so I'll keep telling myself...)

This story is vaguely inspired by Little Dorrit by Charles Dickens and the poem Locksley Hall by Alfred Lord Tennyson, with a dash of North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell. Note the "vaguely". When I wrote the outline it went off in an entirely different direction than intended, and it'll probably go off in another one when I actually write it. It's also an attempt at writing from two different perspectives, sort of like Dickens did in Bleak House. Whether it works or not remains to be seen.

I honestly have no idea what genre this should be (pseudo-historical drama?), but it takes place in a steampunk setting, and since Wattpad doesn't have a steampunk genre (or a drama genre, for that matter), I've put it under science fiction.

All the characters are fictional and any resemblance to real people is completely coincidental. Any resemblance to historical accuracy is also completely coincidental.
