Pocket

You once carried my heart in your pocket.
Like a beautiful shiny new phone.
All safe in it's case and protected.
Something you were excited to own.

Now you carry my heart in your pocket,
Like the lint that the dryer left there.
Hard to get rid of... easy to forget,
You might not even know its in there.

But I never belonged in your pocket.
I dont belong in a pocket at all.
My heart is too precious to be stored,
In the jeans that you bought at the Mall.
