Dear [F/N] [L/N],

Um.. Hi! My name is Shuichi Saihara. I'm a boy from Japan. It's nice to write to you!

I'm sixteen years old, and I'm deaf.. However, I know fluent sign language in both the Japanese form and American form, as well as fluent English writing so I can easily write to you!

I live with my uncle, who's a detective. He gave me the job being his apprentice, which apparently I'm good at. I personally disagree but, I guess it's worth it if it makes him feel happy. I'm glad I'm not useless, it's bad enough I can't hear. I don't want to burden him more.

Growing up, it's been hard. I used to get bullied everyday because of my hearing, which caused my uncle to homeschool me instead. I do have one friend though! His name is Kaito Momota! He's an astronaut and he somehow taught himself fluent sign language just for me! Isn't he amazing?

What is it like in America? Do you think in the future we will be best friends and meet in person? America looks so cool! I bet you would love it in Japan if you came.
