My Dream

I'll be the dreamer.

The things you say

Are all so true.

I dream all day,

I dream all night.

But I'm not like you

Though I know I'm the one,

who keeps on laughing,

who keeps her space.

Who keeps her distance,

To keep her sane.

At least not the one

Who weeps all day,

Who weeps all day,

Who weeps all night.

Who stays hidden,

Who's ever gloom-ridden.

And to everyone who comes her way,

Trying to harm them in any way,

Isn't welcoming friends my way.

I'm in a dream

I dream of you,

I dream of me.

I dream of things that we could do,

And how we would laugh all day.

And suddenly I see you there.

Discern this is as reality.

The friend I trust with all my heart

Isn't a dream but you who's there

So I wake up from a trance

A trance from the past.

Grieving the past won't change a thing.

But coming bright future,

All I want is you with me,

And nothing more.

As you are my trust.

And nothing more,

Ever really mattered.
