Welcome to The Arisen!
The Arisen is hybrid story, mixing the genres of historical fiction and fantasy, about six teens who unite (as a rather unexpected surprise) under one mentor to fulfill an old prophecy (or "legend", as the story addresses it) and restore hope to their oppressed city-state. The story has a Hellenistic setting, and there is much inspiration behind the story and its characters, ranging from Ancient Greek mythology to my own personal experiences (thousands of years after the story's setting). This is my personal favorite story to write, and I hope you have as great an experience reading it as I do creating it.
The image above is a map of Erisia, the fictional island off the coast of Hellas (Greece) on which the story takes place, and its various city-states.
The Arisen is currently a story in progress, but I will try to have one or two new chapters posted each week. Because it's in progress, minor edits could still be made to the story. Thank you for reading and again, I hope you'll enjoy!
