The sun was rising already, but everything still seemed to be dark. Even though everyone is waking from a dream filled slumber, I lie on my bed. This is one morning I didn't want to wake too.
School had started, and teachers began there lessens, but I never listened, because all I could hear was my failure.
Lunch came quickly, but I didn't mind because I didn't even go. I stood outside in what little snow was left, with a letter in my hand. The letter from my dreams. The letter that decided my future. The letter was denying my application for a scholarship.
I had gone so far, I had fought tooth, and nail to get were I am, but they didn't even bat an eye.
My dreams have shattered, not one fragment found amongst my lonely life.
My mom used to say I was a Stone Mountain, unable to fall, but if I'm a mountain, than that letter was an earthquake, and that earthquake made this mountain crumble.
