They Just Don't Know

Sitting in a room

Staring at the blank walls

Looking back at the past and thinking

What was I doing, what is wrong with me

Her family is thinking

Why would she do this, we raised her better than this

But they just don't know she's trying to change

That she's hurt and in pain

That she's sick and tired of

Never being good enough

No matter what she does

She always messes up

She feels as if no one will ever

let her past be her past

They just do not believe

That change is underneath her sleeves
