Chapter 1: Hope?

Marinette's POV

I was sleeping soundly just until my kwami, Tikki woke me up. "Marinette, Wake up! You're going to be late for school!" Tikki shouted. I'm a bit jumpy so what do you think the result is? Of course me plopping out of bed and hitting the floor. I did my usual routine. After that, I went downstairs to see mom and have breakfast. "Morning, Marinette. You're quite early today."Sabine said. Early?! I'm early? Then I wondered why Tikki would wake me up early in the morning today..unless I have a meet- I HAVE A MEETING WITH ALYA! "Morning and bye Mom! I have to meet Alya." I said as I rushed out the door.

-----At the cafe-----

I was running to the cafe Alya and I agreed to meet. As I walked in, I saw Alya. Not only did I see Alya, but Nino too. I waved at them and they waved back. "Hey gurl! I honestly thought you're gonna be late." Alya said as Nino chuckled. "Well Nino, pay up!" Alya said. "Aww man.." Nino sighed. I was a bit confused so I asked why. "Why did Nino need to pay you Alya?" "Well, Nino and I made a bet of who would be earlier." she answered. I was wondering who this other someone is until the front door opened and it revealed a certain someone. Adrien. 

I was so shocked when he came in. I thought it was only Alya and I..though I don't mind Nino, but Adrien? He sat down beside me and I think I was about to blush so hard until Alya put up the question. "So guys,  are you all wondering why I invited you here?" she asked. Personally, I know that Alya makes meetings like these when it is for projects or Ladyblog stuff. Suddenly, it popped to my head. This meeting is for the group project in Physics. Ugh, I almost forgot it..luckily I have friends like them. We continued talking about the project until I heard a scream. "I gotta go" I said. As I went out, I noticed Adrien went out too. I wonder why? I went to an alleyway and transformed. "Tikki, Spots On!" I shouted. After I transformed into Ladybug, I quickly ran to where the akuma is. As I was swinging, I saw a figure. A cat like figure. I dropped on the ground and saw my partner, Chat Noir. 

-----LE SKIP THIS FIGHTING SCENE-----

After the battle, Chat Noir and I said our goodbyes and I went home. Suprisingly, I found Alya on the bakery's doorstep. I made sure that I wasn't seen going to my balcony. As I reached my room, I detransformed and I let Tikki eat cookies and rest. I went downstairs and opened the door for Alya. "Hi Alya!" I greeted. We went to my room and we decided to talk for a bit. I'm scared of what we're going to be talking about. I decided to keep calm and listen to whatever Alya is saying, and so I did. "Ok, Marinette..."Alya said as she sighed. "I know that sigh! Is there something wrong?" I added. " Girl, as much I love shipping you and Adrien.. I don't think there's a chance that he likes you back. I want to support you on it, don't get me wrong..but I don't think there's hope" Alya replied. I am so shocked of what she said. I almost wanted to cry.. but I knew that Alya was right. I'm just a normal girl and I'm not that pretty. There will never be a chance that a model like Adrien will love or like me! Stupid Marinette! Stupid Marinette! I was feeling tears on the edge of my eyes. Since, I didn't want Alya to see such a mess like me, I rubbed my tears away and handled the pain.
