Chapter 8: Rain

(Play this during the dream)

  The thunder roared outside the quiet household. Rain droplets continued their heavy assault on the windows and flashes of lightning revealed, though even for only a second, the earl of Phantomhive huddled under his posh duvet shaking in fear of the raging storm.

  "Ciel?" (Y/N) called out when she noticed the lump on the mattress. Walking over to the bed with a candle in hand, she sat down placing the candle on the nightstand.

  Lifting the covers ever so slightly she saw him, eyes wider than humanly possible, shaking like a leaf in the fall.  

  "You okay," she asked, no words came out of the boy whatsoever seemingly far away as he continued to stare off into the darkness. Rubbing his back in a soothing manner, she began rocking him back and forth like you would a child singing a little tune to help drown out the thundering sounds of the rain and thunder.

  When she looked back down, she found Ciel passed out on her lap, his breathing short and shallow. Moving the hair out of his eyes and tucking the blue strands behind his ear she just looked back down at him in adoration.

  Even though she had been in this world for a short period of time, she felt like she had a special connection with him, like a sister would a brother. Whether he saw her in that way or not she felt like a responsibility had slowly but surely made its way upon her shoulder.

  Thinking that it was best to not take the chance of awakening him by leaving the room she curled up next to him, listening the pitter patter of the rain as it lulled her to sleep.

  "Mommy? Mommy are you awake?" A frightened little girl of only age seven ran into her mother's room, frightened by the loud thunder outside.

  The older woman stirred from her sleep, yawning as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes. Another deafening boom resonated outside, causing the girl to squeal in fright.

  "Mommy mommy please wake up!" the little girl cried, as hot tears streamed down her face.

  The older woman looked down at her daughter, before picking her up and setting her on her lap.

  "Sh-shh-shhh it's okay, everything's going to be okay," the older woman said as she rubbed the girls back in a comforting manner.

  The little girl looked back up to her mother, her (E/C) eyes puffy and red.

  "Mommy? You won't leave me, right?" The older woman stopped for a moment before bringing the small child closer to her.

  "I will never leave you, not until the Lord calls me home," listening to the steady sounds of raindrops as they hit the window, a long comfortable silence settled in between the two until thunder was heard. Another yelp came out of the frightened little girl, trying to calm her down her mother started to sing.

E ke onaona noho i ka lipo

One fond embrace,

A ho'i a'e au

Until we meet again

  "Until we meet again my precious baby girl," the girl's mother said before kissing her precious girl on the forehead.

  Opening her eyes, (Y/N) looked around to find herself in Ciel's room. Stretching her sore muscles, she got out of bed, looking back at the sleeping boy one final time before shutting the door quietly behind her.

  It was still early morning when she left, and the rain continued its heavy assault on the house, sighing she made her way back to her room.   

    Locking the door behind her, she grabbed her phone from her nightstand checking her fanfictions one last time before falling asleep.

ME- I think that is a great idea because I really wanted to write about the Jack the Ripper case but I didn't really want to write about the end of the first season because when I saw it I was really confused me.
