When your sixteen, a sophomore in high school and dating a junior who is sweet, gentle, and pure enough to give you the chance to be his first for many things like he was to me, what could be more amazing. That mindset made us feel indestructible and our love unbreakable if only we knew how quickly our world could crumble down around us.
It all started on our fifth-month anniversary, we were at his bus stop choosing to gross out the older kids with all the holding, subtle groping and making out, since over the last few months, we had grown closer, exploring each other's unseen bodies and learning what the other liked and didn't to do. To the point that we both had an idea of the next step we wanted to take. After all, it was just a matter of figuring out how and when, and to our delight Dean's parents were going out of town for the weekend leaving him and his brother alone giving us the chance to really be alone. The plan was simple, this Saturday I would have my mom drop me off at his house right before her shift at noon and around five is when she would come get me before going back home. The thought of us getting five hours together to do whatever we wanted left us both excited and fantasizing about what we wanted to happen.
Quicker than expected Saturday morning finally came around, everything was in place and it felt as though time was moving unbearably slow that when my mom finally called me down to go it was difficult to try and hide just how eager I truly was to see him. Once passed the gate of his community I could see him passing the driveway waiting for me, he was eager too. I wasted no time saying bye to my mom and rushing out of the car and into Dean's open arms where he presided to pick me up and spin me before quickly leading me inside. To my delight, his brother was nowhere to be found, but that didn't stop Dean from rushing me up the stairs to his bedroom where he kicking the door closed behind him turning to give me a look that seemed to slow time. In those moments it was just him and me exploring the places we had already learned and pushing the boundaries to go even farther. At the time it was an amazing experience that didn't last forever. If only at that moment we knew what was to come, maybe we would have thought better of our decisions. Since days later it all came out, that a neighbor saw me leaving the house and reported it to Dean's parents who forced him to break up with me and threaten to send him away if we ever got back together again leaving us both broken and longing for the other as Romeo did for his Juliet.
