GLITTER LIKE THE SUN- POEM

The sun shimmers,

Resembling a past that was once so true,

A place that she thought she knew.

Monotonously, her days slip by, falling through her fingers, and-

And...

The sun glitters,

Her past reflected in the warmth of the beams that extend to Earth,

Embracing her.

Remembering the person that was once so true,

The person that she thought she knew.

How is it that the sun will always shimmer,

Never deep and dark, always shining bright?

The bitter warmth burns her skin,

If only she could feel that warmth,

Could know that feeling that was once so true,

That feeling that she thought she knew,

To glitter,

Glitter like the sun.
