shes too loud

my band plays too loudly,
the drummer shakes the bassist
with each deafening shattering of a cymbal.
my drummer breaks her drumsticks.
my drummer pays no mind
to the blinding lighting
of the cars backing out
to leave.
she doesnt say goodbye.
she shakes the empty stage with the slapping
of her hands,
beating down on the heads of battered drums.
my band plays too loudly.
