Just Classmates?

1 | Knowing you better

It's a normal day at Midtown high school. Your best friend is Nancy. You knew each other since middle school and she always has your back. You took a small nap until you suddenly hear the teacher say
"Are you with us Peter"
Everyone looks and see what happens. Peter closes his laptop and saids "ya"

He turns around and looks at you. He smiles at you because it looks like you are staring at him. You smile back and waved at him.

"Ohh I think y/n has a crush" Nancy said softly.
"oh wait what no, we are just classmates"
"Okay class, I will chose your parters for this project" the teacher says.
"Aww man I wanted to to do with you, y/n"
"I know right"
The teacher is starting saying who is working with who
"Y/n you are working Peter"
Nancy whispers "oh my, you are going to pass this project with him. Also you are going to be closer to him" with a smirky face.
"Nancy..."

The bell rings and Peter comes towards you and asks
"Do u want to start doing it today after school"
"Ya sure see you at the library then" with a smile
"Be careful bestie" she said as she giggled
"Nancy... I will okay"

After school

Peter is waiting for you at the library. "Oh sorry if I am late"
"Its okay y/n, don't worry"
You almost fall down but Peter got your arms and his eyes were sparking. You stair at his eyes for a few seconds and Your heart stop beating for a second. It was silent.

"Umm thanks Peter" you mumbled
"No problem so let's get to work then"

Meanwhile you guys were working, you asked questions to Peter so you get to know him better. You and Peter had a great time even thought you were doing work. You guys laughed and lots of smiles were on your faces

"Wow Peter your such a nice person"
"Thank you, you too"
"Why don't you talk to girls"
"Umm I think they think I am still a kid and I am boring"
"But you are a kid since we are teenagers. And your amazing. It is nice to be your friend" you said with a smile.
It was getting late so you had to go
home as fast as you can.
"Peter it was nice working with you but I have to go"
"It's fine, wait can I walk you home" "Ya, sure "
"So let's go"

When you got home you went and laid on your bed.
"Peter is such a nice person" you said softly.
Your phone is ringing and you see it's Nancy.

At the phone :
"How was with Peter y/n"
"It went well"
"Ohhhhh you like him"
"As a friend okay"
"Ya sure" Nancy says and starts laughing.
"He was very nice"
"Oh okay... I see you"
"Oh my no Nancy. Oh ya what was homework"
"Did you forget because you were distracted by someone"
"What no stop it" you started to giggle.

You talk to her for a good few minutes.
Soon you go down stairs since dinner was ready. Your mom was there with your sister Ruby.

I love them so much...I really miss my father" you said quietly as you looked at them.
