HAYLEY'S POV
I felt a strange feeling in my stomach as I sat on the couch opposite him as he looked through his mothers grimoire. I caught myself looking up and down his body mesmerised by the way his suit fit his body perfectly as though he was a prince in shinning armour. The way he made her feel whenever he was close by was unexplainable. In that moment I didn't want anything more than him next to me but I knew it wouldn't be possible because I was carrying his brother Klaus' child. Typical me always falling for the wrong person. I knew I wasn't the only one who felt this connection and I knew he wouldn't act on his feelings because he was too good and noble of a brother. I saw him look at me and smile. I smiled back, I knew he noticed what I just did and I felt my checks go red and turn into fire.

ELIJAH'S POV
I caught her looking at me and couldn't help but smile at the way her face lit up when she saw me. She returned the smile and in that moment I felt my heart beat faster than ever. The way she made me feel whenever she was close by was indescribable. In a thousand years I've never felt drawn to any as much as Hayley. In that moment I couldn't help but think about how perfect life would be if she wasn't carrying Nik's daughter. I knew that the feelings were mutual and they weren't just one sided, I knew she also had feelings for me and we both knew that it wouldn't work out because Klaus. I couldn't believe that after a thousand years looking for the right person to complete my life was right there in front of me and nothing could be done because of the baby she was carrying.
