Vanity of vanaties!
My love is in vain!
My heart is in vanity of vanaties!
2.) For in much love
there is much sorrow,
What good does this do?
I knew, as clear as the bright day.
Love is faint, for I shall
not toil for her winning heart.
3.) Never shall I arouse, never shall I stir up love,
For her smell is sweet like a honey
And she is more lovely than a jewel.
4.) I find no blemish to her beauty and charm, for her charm can never be mediocre and her beauty can never be inferior to a jewel.
5.) How does it come to this dillema,
O most beautiful femme in my eyes!
Oh I wish you can become mine!
I endure, as I lament it makes my eyes flow in tears, because
I chase after wind under the sun.
