Lost Love,

Chapter one,

It was graduation today, I was racing down the hall towards the ceremony.

I CAN'T BE LATE!

I mean I'm the Valedictorian of the class! I stumbled down the halls in my wedges, my black skirt that goes to mid thigh, my black T-shirt that hangs off my shoulders showing my dark pink bra straps, and my blue robe and hat in hand. I'm so dead! I then stumbled into the gym out of breath and my light brown curly hair disheveled.

I made it.

I let out a sigh of relief and slumped to the floor out of breath. then hysterical laughter filled the room, Abbigail's laughter. I looked up curiously at my long time best friend. "What's so funny Abbi?" I asked. She laughed even harder. "Your...... Such...... A..... Mess." She got out between laughs. I groaned at this. "Come here, I'll fix you." She said with laughter still dancing in her blue eyes. "What am I going to do with you Valentine? Hm?" She said mockingly. She then started doing my hair. She ran her fingers through my loose ringlets to tame them. she then began using bobby pins to pin back my side bang after she parted it down the middle. I looked good for someone who just ran through the hole school at top speed in wedges to get here. "Thanks." I smiled gratefully at her. It was time, the ceremony had begun. I walked to my place in line and started to go over my speech in my head. I fiddled with my robe nervously well my peers got called up one by one. I took a deep breath, I'm up next. "VALENTINE BECKS." Announced the principal. I took a deep breath trying to calm my nerves then walked up to the pedestal for my speech. I let out a sigh. "We have all worked so hard for this day, to graduate and go off to college, or just to go do something great with our lives. Well, guess what if your here in this room right now, you made it. This is the beginning, and this is the fresh start some of you crave, this is where your true colors will shine. This is where you start your path to greatness. Now go be great, do something with your lives." Everyone erupted into cheers and we all threw our hats in the air in our excitement. This was it, it's now my job to make my own happily ever after. To get the dream job I wanted and the house. It's time for me to live my life. It's time for me to leave the nest and make my own. I then walked up to my mom and gave her a big hug. "I love you mom." I said into her shoulder. "I love you too." She says through her tears. "I'll miss you when you're away at college. Promise you'll visit all the time?" She pleaded while still clinging onto me for dear life. "Of course mom, I wouldn't dream of doing anything else." I said lovingly well holding her closer. "Let's go home and celebrate." I said cheerfully. My mom and I walked out to our car arm and arm. As I opened the door to the passenger seat I heard someone calling out to me. Then strong arms wrapped around my waist. It was my boyfriend Aiden. I let out a squeal of surprise. "AIDEN!" I squealed. He let out a hearty laugh that made his chest vibrate against my back. "Valentine, you did great." He sang in my ear sending shivers down my spine. "I want to go out with you tonight, it's my last night tonight and I want to spend it with you." He said lovingly. "I wish you didn't have to leave." I whispered sadly. "I know baby." He hummed in my ear. "Pick me up at seven." I hummed happily. "Okay, see you then." he said while kissing my forehead and walking off. I sighed then pulled myself into the passenger seat and pulled the door closed behind me. I kept thinking about how I leave in three days to go to a collage in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I just don't know if I want to be away from Aiden for four years. Will he still keep in touch with me? Will he still love me when I get back? Will he remember me? Will I see him again? Is he the one for me or will I meet someone else, or will he meet someone else? I let out a sigh and leaned my head on my hand while looking out the window at the scenery. What should I do? I know that I can't give up on my dream to be with him and he won't give up his to be with me. I wouldn't want him to for that's not the man I fell in love with and have loved for the past three years. I guess I just have to sit this out and see what happens. I looked over at my amazing mother, she's so tough. She raised me all by herself, she was eighteen when she had me. she was so young yet she pushed through it and led an amazing life. She tells me my father is a very successful and good hearted man who loved me but wanted better for me than what he could give. I really want to believe that but I just can't get passed the fact he left us. As we pulled in our driveway I studied the house. We live in a two story house with a basement the house is white with light creamy green walls throughout. My room is on the top floor, it has a queen sized bed with white bedding, a TV mounted to the wall, a trunk for my clothes against the end of the bed with a white sheet laid on top of it, and my closet is a walk in closet filled with my shoes and clothes. I was brought out of my thoughts when the cars engine died down until it had completely gone quiet. I looked over at my mother's blue eyes with my piercing sea green eyes. "I'm going to go prepare for tonight. we can go hang out somewhere tomorrow, but tonight's Aiden's last night here." I said sadly. My mother nodded understandingly. Then we both got out of the car and headed inside. After we entered the house I headed up to my room to get ready for tonight. I closed the door to my room and started to go through my walk in closet. I decided on dark skinny jeans, the shirt I wore to graduation and black stilettos. I pulled my curly light brown hair into a high ponytail and let my bangs frame my face. I put on red lip gloss and some dark eye makeup.

I'm ready.

I then made my way down the stairs to show my mother. She was sitting on the couch watching me as I walked down the stairs. "You look so pretty." She said softly. I smiled at her as I reached the bottom of the stairs. "Thanks mom." I responded. It's six thirty so I have a half of an hour before he arrives. I sat down next to my mother and started watching a TV show with her. A while after, I heard a knock at the door. "It's him!" I squealed excitedly then jumped up to get the door. I could hear my mother's laughter as I walked to the door. As I pulled the door open I could feel my heart race with excitement. I studied Aiden's appearance, he was wearing a light blue dress shirt with dark jeans, and black dress shoes. As I looked back up to meet his eyes I melted from the sorrowful gaze that was locked on mine. He looked so saddened that I almost wanted to beg him not to leave me. "Ready to go?" Aiden asked. I smiled up at him. "Yeah, let's go." I said softly as I passed him and headed towards his car. He raced past me and opened the car door for me. "Thank you." I smiled. He smiled at me then shut the door and headed to the drivers side. He buckled his seatbelt and started down the driveway. "So, you going to tell me where we are going?" I asked. He smiled wildly while shaking his head. "What is the fun in that?" He chuckled. I smiled. "Please?" I pleaded. He laughed and shook his head. I frowned. "Oh, don't be like that!" He laughed. I sighed then turned my attention to the window watching as the world flew by. There was an eerie silence all through the rest of the trip. I watched as a beautiful park with a lake came into view. I let out a gasp. "Beautiful isn't it?" Aiden asked softly in almost a whisper. "Yes, it's gorgeous." I whispered while staring at the scene in awe. We parked so we could just stare at the scenery as the sun set beyond the lake. It's so breathtaking. It's so romantic, and so sweet of him. I smiled and leaned over to plant a sweet and tender kiss on his cheek. "Valentine, have you ever thought about our future? Like, will we get married or have kids, were we meant to be." He sighed and looked down at his lap while he fiddled with his fingers. I didn't answer. Instead, I pulled him to me and planted a sweet tender kiss on his lips.

And it escalated from there.
