I am dying. I can feel it. Weakness. Pain. Now I welcome Death like an old friend.
My name is Jack. I don't remember my last name. They say I will, that I will remember everything. But it takes time.
My name is Jack Embron. I had an older brother named... it started with an L. When I was thirteen, the Hem got me. I was a Hemo. Two weeks later I woke up here.
I wonder where my brother is? Is he all right?
It's been five years now. I'm eighteen. I haven't seen my brother once in all that time. He's a couple minutes older than me; we're twins. We had an older sister, she's here with me. So are our cousins.
