Alexs POV
It was the night before my first day of college, and I hadn't slept at all. Its 5 am, I need to be there in two hours. This should be fun. I got up, got ready, and went outside my apartment. I pulled out my phone to check the time. Yep, still an hour before I had to leave. I decided to get some food before I left and ran to a nearby Starbucks. Yes, only three other people! I thought. If there were any more I'd be late for class. After a few minutes it was my turn to order.
"Hey, what can I get for you?" The girl asked me.
"Breakfast sandwich, thanks," I said.
"Name?"
"Alex."
She nodded and I walked over to get my food.
After a few minutes I saw my sandwich, thanked them, and left.
Of course they spelt my name wrong. 'Alix' is how they spelt it. I don't even know how they spelt it wrong.
I ate my food and tossed the wrapper in a trash bin on the sidewalk and walked into my college. Kings College. I smiled, walked in, found my dorm and walked in.
"Hey," a boy said.
I looked at him and felt myself blush. He was- how can I even explain it... longish curly brown hair, beautiful brown eyes, and a lot of freckles. Like, a lot. He was gorgeous...
"You alright?" He asked, bringing me out of my thoughts.
"Wha- oh, yeah, I'm fine," I said, blushing more.
I put my things by my bed and took out my phone to text an old friend.
AlexTheBi- ELIZA HELP IM SHARING A DORM WITH A CUTE BOY
CinnamonRoll123- ooooooo who!?
AlexTheBi- I don't know his name but help!
CinnamonRoll123- can I see?
I discretely took a picture of him.

CinnamonRoll123- he IS cute!
AlexTheBi- right?! Hey you have a boyfriend lay off!
CinnamonRoll123- so? Not like I'm cheating 😜
AlexTheBi- don't push it Liz.
CinnamonRoll123- fineee. I gotta go, Angie's calling. Good luck with the cutie!
I sighed and put my phone under my pillow.
"So, what's your name?" The boy asked.
"I'm Alexander Hamilton, but you can call me Alex," I said, smiling at him.
"I'm John Laurence," he said.
He went back to whatever he was doing on his computer and I decided to take a walk, maybe meet up with Peggy.
After texting her for about five minutes, I met her outside the college.
"Hey, Lexie!" She said, hugging me.
"Hey, Peggles!" I said, returning her hug.
"'Liza told me about the cute boy," she said.
"Oh, right, him," I said.
I felt myself blush again.
"Ya know, maybe a girlfriend would be nice? You've had like, 20 boyfriends," she told me.
I just glared at her.
"First of all, I've only had like, 15 and second, none of the girls I've ever wanted to date ever liked me like that," I told her.
"Eliza used to, Angie still does, but don't tell them I told you," She said, winking.
I smiled and heard the door behind us open.
"Oh hey, just coming to look for-" they said before I turned around. "Alex, class starts in 15 minutes, come back to the dorm, I wanna talk a bit," John said.
I felt myself blush again.
"Okay," I said and turned back to Peggy.
"Bye Peggles," I said.
"Bye Lexie."
I walked back to the dorm with John in silence, but as soon as the dorm door closed, he turned to me.
"Was that your girlfriend..?" He asked, blushing.
"My- NO! Peggy's just a friend," I assured him.
"Okay," he said, smiling and blushing more.
We grabbed our things and headed to class.
