"Hey, look who’s sitting at the bar."

I turned around and looked in the direction my friend was looking in. It was none other than Jimmy Fallon, nursing a gin and tonic and talking to the bartender. My heart started beating a mile a minute. My friends and I just came from a Tonight Show taping and we decided to go for dinner and drinks afterwards. I didn’t expect to see Jimmy Fallon at the same place we were, however.

"You should try to talk with him and get a picture with him."
I turned around. “Are you kidding, Julie? I could never. I’d be too nervous.”
"Oh come on," Melissa chimed in. "You can do it. You sat five rows away from where he was standing tonight and you did alright."
"Come on, Alanna," Heather added. "You’re the biggest fan of his out of all of us here! I would go up to him before he leaves."
"Let’s make it interesting," Julie said.
"How?" I asked, intrigued.
"Well….how about this?" she said, pulling out her wallet. "If you go up to Jimmy Fallon and talk to him and get a picture with him, I’ll give you twenty bucks. But if you chicken out, you have to give me twenty bucks."

I looked at Julie and raised an eyebrow at her. I then looked at my margarita. I had less than half of it left in my glass. I glanced at Melissa, then at Heather. I downed the rest of my drink and slammed the glass down on thetable. I went into my bag to get my lipstick and compact mirror. After I gave myself a touch-up, I got up, straightened myself out and started walking towards the bar. As I got closer to where he was, I felt my heart pounding in my ears so loud that I couldn’t hear the music playing in the place. I couldn’t believe that I was going to talk to Jimmy Fallon. I got up to where he was sitting and I felt the alcohol hit me hard. Along with the alcohol came courage to open my mouth and say something to him,

"Excuse me? Mr. Fallon?"

He turned around and looked at me. Man, was he gorgeous. I wasn’t usually attracted to guys with brown eyes, but he was the only exception. He was wearing a light blue and white plaid shirt; sleeves rolled up, with a loosened gray tie. He was taking a sip of his drink when I said that, so when he turned around, he took his lips off of the glass and his bottom lip looked wet because of what he was drinking.

"I-I don’t want to bother you, but…I’m a huge fan and I was wondering…ummmm….if I could get a picture with you?"
A smile slowly came across his lips. “Of course, it isn’t a bother at all! And please, call me Jimmy.”
"Oh, thank you so much!" I reached into my pocket to get my phone out to take a picture with him.
"Were you at the show tonight?" he asked me.
I looked down and realized that I still hand my wristband on from when I was in the building. “Oh…yes I was…I was in the fifth row, I think.”
"Yeah, I thought you looked familiar," he said with a smile.

He motioned me to stand next to him as he got up from his place at the bar. I unlocked my phone and went to the front-facing camera. I usually didn’t like to take selfies, but I wasn’t going to pass up this opportunity. I got as close to him as I could and lifted up my phone to take the picture. He gave the most adorable smile, with his tongue slightly sticking out through his teeth. I snapped the picture and put my phone back in my pocket.

"Thank you so much!"
"No problem!"

I started to walk back to where my friends were sitting, while ripping the wristband off of me and putting it in my pocket. After a few steps, I heard someone yell, “Hey wait!”

I turned around and saw Jimmy still standing up. Was that him that said that?

"Ummmm….would you like a drink?"

I blinked in disbelief. Jimmy Fallon was asking me if I want to have a drink with him. I turned and looked towards my friends at the table. They were all talking and laughing and snapping pictures for Instagram; most likely not even noticing if I’m back there or not. I turned around and looked at Jimmy and smiled.
