Have you ever heard of the New York City Dream
The wonders and mysteries on the corners of every street
The bright lights and the fantastic treats?
But did you hear about the parasitic fiends
That rest in the corner of shattered streets
Sapping the life out of the residence
Uncaring if you're a local or visiting a peep
They latch onto your soul
And show you what you want to see
Offer you a false sense of accomplishments
And idle dreams
Convince you that you're capable of grandiose feats
While drying cement blocks around your toes, on your feet
Blind you with the lights
While only feeding you misery
An emotional impact so powerful
You begin to believe it as reality
That everyone is normal and it is them against me
There is strength in unity
So the only way for a parasite
Unreal, intangible
Can maintain the masses
Is by disrupting the unity
With pangs of stupidity.
