"You didn't have to kill her!" My voice shakes almost as much as the gun in my hand.

"She was innocent! She didn't do anything! Sh-She was my other half!" My voice breaks. The man in front of me reaches his hands out, comfortingly, but I'm done trusting him. He opens his mouth. I brace myself.

"Jessi was innocent, you're right. But she was a witness, and had to-" My grip on the gun tightens, the once cool metal now warm under my hand.

"Shut up."

"Remy, I'm just telling you that-the reason why I had to-" My hands shake with fury.

"Had to? You didn't have to do anything! You could've left her alone!"

"Remy-"

"She wouldn't have told anyone!" Tears are blurring my vision now, threatening to spill out, but I Will. Not. Cry. I am done with this man.

I. Click. The. Safety. Off.

He notices, starts sweating.

"R-Remy, please. Just-just calm down-"

No. Nononononono-

"Don't. Talk. To me."
