(Dictionary at Bottom)
Intro——
Illarea consists of three continents - Hel'lesna, Draëvanya, and Yessün. Named after the Three Great Dragons of darkness, light, and key. Both the Great Dragons and the Nation Dragons are extremely important in Illarean History as they were the creators of the continents and gave humans power.
Through blood sacrifice, worship, and eventual warfare- humans evolved into different sects holding different powers and/or appearances. There were seven races of dragons, and three leaders of them. The humans adopted a similar structure.

Things to Note-

Great Dragons- Dragons of Dark, Light, and Key. Creators of the world
Nation Dragons- Dragons representative of a certain nation
Daughter Dragons - Daughters of the Nation Dragons (only recognized by a few groups of people)

No Civilization based off the Great Dragons of Light, Dark, and Key. They are not considered races and are divine
^^^
(Only the Hel'exek Empire has claimed ties to them)

Trinity of Fire- Ranashanya, Morrazhing, and Yana'synrei are called this because they are all huge Empires and their representative dragons are the colors of fire

The War of Fangs and Wings led to the Dragon population being reduced and eventually humans found they no longer needed them which led to the dragons being hunted and killed for their power. This dwindled their numbers even more and eventually made the dragons disappear. They haven't been seen since

——-

Ranashanya- Dragon: Red Dragon
Residence- Hel'lesna, large Empire

Ability- Not extremely common but not rare. Ranashanians have been known to manipulate fire and if they don't have the ability, they can undergo a ritual (very painful) to get it. Have a very strong military due to this

Yy'tchin- Dragon: Blue Dragon
Residence- Islands, Kingdom

Ability- Some can manipulate water or shift into humanoid form to go underwater and breathe

* mermaids and sirens
* Mermaids/men were those who chose to dedicate their entire lives to the Sea Goddess (Sea Dragon) A'dre'esa and gave up their human legs and way of life to live under the waves
* Sirens were people who were either cast out of the Tchin society and cursed by the Saha'dija (shaman), or was a merperson who failed the Sea Goddess and was therefore punished
* Yt'tchin Are not well-known to the world

Morrazhing- Dragon: Orange Dragon
Residence- Yessün, Empire

Ability- Can control earth or earthen materials like rock, metal, or plants. Very diverse in abilities

Lale'fe- Dragon: Green Dragon
Residence- Dräevanya, various Kingdoms

Ability- Some can control wind/air. A small sect of women, however, can use "Magic Magik". They are referred to as Witches

- The magic does take a toll however, and depending on the kind of spell- Dark, Light or Key- the toll differs. Dark spells take part of ones soul or sanity, Light takes sacrifice, and Key takes energy. Key is most commonly used

- Dark spells can be spells that directly kill or torment a person. Also spells that have to do with the dead (necromancy)

* Witches- Groups of female Magic Users who worship the Daughters of the Nation Dragons and have the ability of Magic

EX of a "Daughter Dragon" —
* Lyra'salm Dragon. She is thought to be offspring of the Green Dragon
* Lyra'salms- Song Dragon Worshippers

* The Dragons are divided into color categories. Each Dragon is representative of a people and are called Nation Dragons, but some small groups such as the Witches believe in more than just the Nation Dragons. They also believe in different dimensions similar to Heaven and Hell.

*Only females can dedicate themselves to the  religion and study the Magics and crafts involved as the Lyra'salm and other Daughter Dragons

*This creates a matriarchal cult that is extremely unpopular, especially in Ranashanya and Morrazhing where patriarchy is strong

* Witches Originated in the Dräevanya continent but have spread out to the others as well. They are everywhere except for in the Teco'kirran Islands and near the Yy'tchin

Yana'synrei- Dragon: Yellow Dragon
Residence- Yessün/Hel'lesna, Empire

Ability- Light bending and manipulation of shadows or illusions. Strange kind of magic

By'ynti- Dragon: Purple Dragon
Residence- Eastern Dräevanya & Southern Hel'lesna, tribes

Ability- Strength and senses. Usually one or the other. Sometimes can commune with animals/nature; the ultimate warriors and tribes people. Some also are born with the healing ability

* First civilization to have healers until the healing gene was spread after interracial marriages; however, being born a healer is still extremely rare outside the By'ynti people

Teco'kirra- Dragon: Silver/The Three Headed Dragon
Residence- Islands in the middle of the Illarean Sea

Ability- Can manipulate/feel thoughts (telepathic) or are empathic and can feel/manipulate emotions. Lastly, there is the potential for them to be able to use telekinesis. Only members of the Royal family can utilize all three abilities if born with them.

*If not caught in Civil war the Teco'kirrans could easily have stood against the Hel'lexek Empire

*Are not easily trusted

- These people are very pale and have moon-white hair (Silver Blood runs through their veins) and have night vision

- Split into city states with two major governing territories- Sylthra and Ratan (Then'na should also be noted as it is a major trading port but not large enough to be a threat to any power)

- How to tell a Sylthran from a Ratanian: Sylthrans are thinner and more petite of frame whereas Ratanians are broader chested, noses, foreheads, and are less "shimmery"

* Sylthra & Ratan
* Rivalry between the two due to belief the other is Unpure
*Then'na is the neutral power between them
*Sylthra, Ratan, & Then'na= all Teco'kirran
