Paul heard about this plague and how it marched through America. He didn't want to think about it. He wanted to think about his uncle. His uncle was supposedly in a survival shelter in New Jersey America. Which made him even more scared.

"Cmon Paul you got to go school." Paul got up to respond to his mothers semi aggressive tone.   He wasn't even dressed yet. He was in his monster PJs he was only 9 after all. He was quiet, and didn't have many friends in the fourth grade. He didn't want to go to school.

"Cmon Paul we have to go." His mom was now yelling. He was now in his ugly, tight school clothes. He ran out of his room into the rest of their house.

"Well there you are." His mom stated looking pretty frustrated. He could see her red cheeks and a bruise on her left arm, kind of like a fist.

      "Where's Pa?" Paul said.

"In his room drinking." Ma replied sadly. Nothing else was spoken on the way to school.
