Conflict is the fundamental element of fiction, fundamental because in literature only trouble is interesting. It takes trouble to turn the great themes of life into a story: birth, love, sex, work, and death. –Janet Burroway

Thank you so much for dropping by! :) This will be a series of shorts that I'll be putting together. Some of them were written a long time ago (which I will edit again if they are cringey ._.), some of them just written recently as and when I get struck with new ideas for a story.

I guess the challenge of writing short stories over full-fledged novels would be squeezing stuff into fewer words. But I guess that makes those precious word counts that you have to work with all the more important i.e. deciding which scenes to include and cut out, deciding which expressions to use.

Anyway, I hope all you readers find the following shorts interesting/thought-provoking at the very least. One thing I love about writing is how it enables writers and readers alike to understand much more about themselves and the world around them. Kindly share your thoughts in the comments too should you have any and happy reading!
