Reflection

A/N: I asked my mother one day, when I couldn't come up with any poetry subjects, for a topic that she wanted to have a poem written about. Strangely, I already had an idea of a poem on the topic before she said it. "Reflection."

She's seen her reflection.

She's seen why her schoolmates laugh whenever they are around her.

She's seen how she doesn't fit in.

She's known she can't make a change to it all even when it was available.

So why didn't she take the chance?

He's seen that face.

That always taunts and sneers at him whenever they meet.

It bugs him, annoys him, angers him.

But every day, he gets to make a difference to transform it all but never grabs it.

So why didn't he go get the change?

She's seen it all but never differs.

He's experienced everything untiring but never strays from the path of same.

They've figured out that they are one.
