SUMMARY.
The year 1969 is arguably known as the best year of the swinging sixties decade. The moon landing, more diversity on television, Woodstock, teenage revolutions, and lastly the hippies. It is also arguably regarded as the best year of music, in which everybody in every genre got their chance to shine, and nineteen year old Beverly Scott had it. Beverly was fervently in love with music, particularly rock music, which made a lot of her friends perplexed because she was black, and they anticipated her to listen to soul and r&b music. Beverly did like soul music, but she predominately liked rock more better.

She was constantly judged by her fellow peers for "acting white," and not having a Afro, which around the time was the most popular black hairstyle. She was also criticized for rather listening to The Rolling Stones than The Isley Brothers. But Beverly ignored the hostile judgements she received from her peers, and continued to listen the music that always gave her tranquility, hoping to meet the rockstars of her dreams.

One day, she finally gotten that chance when she got free tickets from a radio station contest to see the Rolling Stones in person. But those tickets will lead her to something more tragic and demented than a concert, something that will traumatize her for the rest of her life.
