prologue
the last day of school was probably one of the best days of my life. finally, i could be free! my friend claire, wanted me to come over to her place for a sleepover. i was excited for two reasons. one, being i would be staying with her, and two she has a hot neighbor.
"i can't wait for you to come over girl!" she says, as we walk out of the school. "i can't wait to see that hot neighbor of yours." i say. "are you talking about me?"richie says walking right beside us.
i instantly feel the hot rush of blood in my cheeks. my hands feel clammy, and my heart beats at the speed of lightening. "uh, I um no of course not!" i say very awkwardly. he lets out a chuckle, and walks away with a satisfied smirk.
"you're totally in love y/n!" claire teases. "it's just a little crush claire, don't be so dramatic." i say. but little did i know, that crush would lead to something so much more. something that would make me rethink the word 'love'.
