Lauren’s POV

I can’t believe I’m doing this. I guess its because I could never say no to her. I have always tried to impress her and now when she ask me this I just couldn’t say no to her. Why couldn’t I just say no to her. Her parents were glaring at me and I bet it’s because they couldn’t believe their boy crazed daughter had brought a girl home, except it wasn’t real. I wanted to make a good impression on them but I couldn’t. That wasn’t part of the plan after all.

“Lauren are you ok.” She whispered softly in my ear. I nodded and looked back at her parents. I don’t know how she wanted me to pull of this bad girl, slut persona when it wasn’t me at all. How was I supposed to act?

“Are you sure?” She whispered again.

“Yeah everythings fine Ally.” She smiled at me. I guess I should really explain what the fuck is going on. First things first, I’m Lauren Michelle Jauregui. I’m eighteen years old and have just graduated from high school. Ally was the person I was supposed to be dating and people can say I might have a slight crush on her. I’m bi but have a slight preference for girls and came out my senior year and to say how this relationship started is weird might be a bit of an understatement.

Flashback:

“Lauren!” I turned to see the short girl bouncing towards me.

“Hey Ally.” I say happily. Ally and I have known each other since third grade but we weren’t extremely close but we talk whenever we have a class together. That’s why it had surprised me as she walked towards me outside class.

“I need your help.” She says. I raise an eyebrow.

“Sure, what can I do?” I ask, never being able to say no to her.

“I need you to help me with my parents so I can get back together with my boyfriend.” My heart sank to the bottom of my stomach. Ally and her boyfriend had been together for a couple of weeks and I have never personally met him since he went to another school.

“How can I help?” I asked not sure where this was going.

“Well my parents made me break up with him because they think he’s taking over my life and they think I think about boys too much.” She explained. I nodded feeling completely shattered.

“Where do I come in?” I asked.

“Well I need you to be my girlfriend.” I couldn’t help but laugh. The girl I have liked since sixth grade was asking me to be her girlfriend so she can get back with her boyfriend.

“How is me being your girlfriend going to help?”

“Well as you know my parents are really religious and they have always thought lesbians were sluts and want every girl they see. I want you to help me so they let me get back together with my boyfriend since they took away my phone and laptop so I can’t talk to him. So will you help me?” She asked with her large brown eyes that I couldn’t resist. I sighed.

“Sure Ally, I’ll be your girlfriend.” She shrieked and engulfed me in a hug. I couldn’t help but chuckle at myself for always wanting to say those words but now I wasn’t completely happy.

“Well that was easier than I thought. I thought I was going to have to give you those concert tickets.” She said as she pulled away from me.

“Wait what tickets.”

“Well I got you tickets to see Camila Cabello, since I know you love her and you weren’t able to get tickets.” I smiled.

“I said yes but you can still get me the tickets you know.” She rolled her eyes.
